- Sven Wejsfelt & Stig Lindberg two bowls and a vase Gustavsbergs Studio
In 1953, Sven Johansson joined Gustavberg, a flagship company of Swedish ceramics, as a turner under Stig Lindberg using the pseudonym Sven Wejsfelt.
Sven Wejsfelt made a number of pieces under the direction of Stig Lindberg. Lindberg is said to have signed some of the pieces Sven Wejsfelt made. The rupture between Sven Wejsfelt and Stig Lindberg happened in 1970, when the "Birka" dinner service designed by Sven Wejsfelt was initially rejected by Stig, but eventually produced under the name Stig Lindberg.
Sven Wejsfelt then took Lindberg's place as Gustavberg's creative director. He is now allowed to sign with his own name, these pieces being signed "SW" or "Swen" as on the ceramic below.
